Free Construction ITP Template (PDF)

What's in the template
- Header block with project, contract, trade/work-package, version control, and sign-off authority fields
- Hold-points table with inspection criteria, conformance reference, evidence captured, status
- Witness-points table with the same structure
- Sample-testing schedule (concrete cylinders, soil compaction, water tightness, etc.)
- Reference Standards section
- Non-conformance workflow including NCR linkage
- Running sign-off log
How to use it
The template is a structure, not a finished ITP. To make it work for a real project:
- Localise the scope. Replace generic trade descriptions with this project's actual trades and work packages.
- Localise the hold-points. Add the high-risk steps specific to your build that the template can't know about.
- Localise the sign-off authority. Name the actual people in the actual seats on this project.
- Localise the reference standards. List the Australian Standards and NCC clauses that the inspections will actually test against.
For most multi-residential, commercial, and complex residential builds, a generic template isn't enough — the build needs a purpose-built ITP suite written against the actual contract, trade list, and risk profile.
What's not in the template
- Statutory inspection sign-offs (those sit with the appointed certifier)
- WHS hazard assessments (those sit in the WHS plan)
- Commercial milestone tracking (separate from quality inspection)
The template stays focused on construction quality conformance.
